2. “Digital RATIOS”

These emerged when exploring “Digital SUMS” [n x 10 + m] with their orthogonal, diagonal and ortho-diagonal symmetries, as shown below.

1 : 1 is the classical ratio for 450 diagonal symmetry as in the third picture.

The last four, however, illustrate Ortho-Diagonal Symmetries that can be quantified by “Digital Ratios”, i.e. 2 : 1 and 1 : 2.

The familiar calculation is the square root of Pythagoras’ Sum of Squares. That results in SQRT (5).

Here, we see that the diagonals are all at the same angle [600 or 1200] and represent 10 multiples of SQRT (5) in length [2.2236].
